Sinusitis is inflammation of the sinus lining, most often triggered by infection, allergy or structural issues inside the nose. When symptoms last more than 12 weeks it is considered chronic, and modern endoscopic evaluation is the fastest way to get a real answer.

- Nasal endoscopy with a high-definition camera
- CT scan of the sinuses when structural issues are suspected
- Allergy testing when a trigger is unclear
Treatment
- Nasal saline irrigation and steroid sprays as first-line care
- Targeted antibiotics only when bacterial infection is confirmed
- Allergy control with medication or immunotherapy
- Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery (FESS) for structural cases
Prevention
- Manage allergies and treat colds early
- Use a humidifier in dry weather
- Avoid tobacco smoke and heavy air pollution when possible
- Stay well-hydrated and rinse the nose with saline during flare-ups
Recovery
Most patients feel meaningful relief within one to three weeks of the right treatment plan. Surgical patients return to light activity within a few days and to full routine within two weeks, with follow-up endoscopy to confirm healing.
